CULTURE

What is Culture? If we give example, one is educated family and the other is uneducated family. In educated family, there will be only one or two children but in rural family, there will be five or six children. Uneducated people mostly believe in God blindly, educated family is not good because they are corrupted. In Bhavnagar, there is a Victoria Park. Outside on the walls of the park, there are wall paintings which show our culture through its images like " Save Girl Child", "Save Water", "Save Lion", and other things. These paintings are not reflected in the way but are negatively depicted. People don't care about wastage of water, cutting trees and other natural elements and so these paintings are necessary. One side we call the holy river the Ganga as "Gangamaiya" and on the other side we pollute its water and we also cut down many trees. The third point is about majority and minority. Majority always stands on power position and minority is dominated by them. Male are always at the centre. 25th December is Christmas day but in our country, politicians declared it as "Good Governance Day" as well as the birthday of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Due to this, Christmas is not celebrated but a political leader's birthday is celebrated. And the fourth  point is the problem of marriage system. Many people are narrow minded and don't give the permission for love marriage. There is also problem of divorce system. Mentality of people never changes. We can take example of Rape case. A man rapes a girl and people talk about the girl's mistake but no one sees fault of the man and he roams freely in the society. He is not ashamed of his bad deed. People too think that girl is bad and no one likes to marry this girl. When we talk of food habits of people, some think vegetarians are pure and non-vegetarians are impure. But this is false understanding of people. People say that non-vegetarians eat chicken and meat, so they will also be eating flies which gets into tea or anything. Does this mean vegetarians who eat leafy vegetables also eat the leaves which grow in sewer? Religion is also a big issue . A movie of Aamir Khan  'PK' was released  few months ago . There was controversy about this movie because Aamir Khan is Muslim and is the hero of this movie . Script writer is Abhishek Joshi who is a Brahmin and director is Rajkumar Hirani . Hindus do not accept Muslims easily . most of the heroes were Muslim from 1999 to 2014 and entertainment field was  successful due to them . Dilip Kumar is also a famous hero but his real name is Yusuf Khan. many movies like Fanna, Ek the Tiger, Gadar etc shows heroines as foreigner or Pakistani  and hero as Indian, then there is no problem but if the situation is vice -versa, controversy arises. If a girl's age is 22 or 24, neighbours and relatives are worried about her marriage more than her parents. In the am case, if there is a boy, no one cares much about him and they let him free. Old people are in majority and young people are in minority. Young writers like Chetan Bhagat, Kajal Oza, Jay Vasavada are in minority. Through their stories and novels, we come to know about their time. New literature reflects Culture and Civilization. Culture and Civilization are totally different things. If we compare Urban and Rural families, we find Urbans more educated and civilized compared to Rurals. If we take example from Ramayana, 'Ram' had only one wife but 'Dasaratha' had three wives. Here a question arises that having more than one wife is a good thing or bad thing or is that person good or bad. This example proves the fourth point.
