Stray Lesson of B.Ed in Semester-1

Experience of Stray Lesson in Primary School

In B.Ed First I came to know about Micro Teaching, then Bridge Lesson and then Stray Lesson. Stray lesson was given by me on 9, 10, 11 and 12 August, 2016. It was very wonderful and memorable experience for me because students of this were very adjustable.

In this lesson all the skills are used by the trainee-teacher. Motivation skill, Questioning skill, Illustration skill, Reinforcement skill used by them. Time of this lesson is 30 minutes. Numbers of students are 35 to 40. Our Professors gave us four lessons, two lessons about English (first method) and another was about Sanskrit (second method).

It is the only Girls Primary School. These girls are very enthusiastic and very interested in whatever subject we taught. They actively participated in questioning also.

Difference between Bridge lesson and Stray lesson is that in Bridge lesson Test of the Student and assignment (home-work) not given by the trainee-teacher and in Stray lesson it is done by the teacher. At the end of the class teacher take Oral Test of the students.

I used so many different ideas in the school. One lesson was about Letter-writing of Std-8th and I have taught them to Format of the Letter. For the Motivation skill I sing one song of movie “Boarder”, ‘Sandeshe Aate hai, Hame tadpate hai.’ In Std-7th, Sanskrit I taught about lesson of Sparrow and for the Motivation skill I sing one children-song of Sparrow and this song was like “Chakkiben! Chakkiben! Mari sathe ramva aavsho ke nahi?”  I also gave information to students about ‘World Sparrow Day’ and it is celebrated on 20th March. Now a days so many sparrows are we cannot seen in surroundings. To give awareness to the people it is celebrated.  In second lesson of Sanskrit I used one story of camel and Wolf. Moral of the story is that we don’t faith of unknown person.  Another lesson about Std-7th, English and it was about Salesman. I used one print copy of Salesman and also taken one real bottle of Shampoo because in this lesson this salesman sell bottle of shampoo.

Objectives:

Ø Students knew new words, synonyms, antonyms and Imp points.

Ø Students knew different stories, songs; they can see different charts, paintings.

Ø They can very adjust to atmosphere of the school. They can work in group also. That’s why they can learn group activity and habituated with Collaboration.

Ø They can give different answers with active participation. For the assignment (home-work) they can know about practice and revision.

Ø In Sanskrit, they know about Translation Skill also.

In conclude I would like to say that it was very awesome days for me. Because primary students are very innocent and in these days they were happy with me and asked that, Will you come to next day? I am very happy with this course it is very wonderful course for any student because any student can easily do it.
