Fourth Method of Teaching: Unit Lesson (B.Ed Sem-1)
Fourth Method of Teaching Unit Lesson (6 Days)
After a long time again I gave Unit Lesson. It means one type
of teaching. All the students of Shree Radheshyam B.ed College gave that
lesson at Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul High School. It was very difficult
task because this time we have to handle 9th and 10th
students. My main subject is English and second is Sanskrit. I know very well
that these two subjects are very boring for many of the students. Though I was cleverly
gave this lesson. Students of 10th were very naughty. Time of period
was 35 minutes.
Experience:
When I started me period at that time I
totally spoke in English. But after some time they told me that teacher please
speak some words in Gujarati. At that time I understand that it is the main
reason of boredom. Then I used Translation Method. I Sanskrit subject it’s
compulsory for using Translation Method. Because whatever Subhashit / Shlokas
are in Sanskrit. Middle of the period we have to do Board work.
Objectives:
§ Teacher can understand whole atmosphere of class-room in 3 days.
§ New words, synonyms, antonyms and Imp points we have wrote in
black board.
§ I used charts, pictures, so many examples etc….
§ Teacher knows about the thoughts, behaviors, abilities,
interests, views, habits, special skills of the students.
§ Based on this in future teacher will experiments those methods
in different classes.
§ If students’ way of learning is not right than teacher observes
and correct it.
§ Teacher used Integration skill. Based on this they can evaluate
students.
§ In integration teacher asked Questions 0f whole unit.
§ At the end of 3rd day teacher take one Writing
Evaluation Test.
§ To check their Intelligent Quotients.
Best
Memories:
In 10th std. 4th students got 1st rank. To
motivate them I gave Pinpoint Pen. I wrote so many points in their test papers
to correct their mistakes. When I was in school at that time I forgot to give
them and after I gave it. But first time legally I checked all the papers and
it was very new for me. Staff of this school is also very supportive. Though
heavy rush of teaching days I got second rank in Youth Festival at Parekh
College (MKBU) in Essay Competition at District Level.
