Novel: Robinson Crusoe

Robinson Crusoe

The protagonist of the novel- Robinson Crusoe is a young and self sufficient English man who, after several adventures at sea and on land, is cast away on a small, almost uninhabited island. One day, Crusoe is shocked to discover a man’s footprint on the beach, which belongs to one of the Cannibals said to be living in the region. One of the victims of these Cannibals, waiting to be slaughtered, breaks free and runs toward Crusoe’s dwelling. Crusoe then protects him and names him Friday. Thereafter, Friday becomes Crusoe’s humble and devoted slave. In the end, they are finally rescued and taken back to England.
